Chairman

James Murray BSc MS C Eng MIEE MIHT

Jim is a chartered engineer who, prior to retirement, was a director of a large public company. His career included mining, electronics, heavy civil engineering and latterly quarrying.

He enjoys being one of seven directors of the Club given the variety of professional skills and interests they bring to the Board and their commitment to the Club. He attempts to bring to the running of Drumsheugh some of the things he learned in running both large and small businesses.

Jim has been a member since 1974 and a swimmer since the age of three. His daughter learned to swim at Drumsheugh in the 1970s, while a pupil at St. Georges, a school with which the Club has a long association.

Manager

Wayne Davies

Managing a team of leisure staff, Wayne ensures the efficient daily operations of the club.

Wayne is a graduate in Sport and Leisure Management from the University of Hull and has achieved a merit in pool plant operations.

He is an enthusiastic swimmer with a background of employment in leisure facilities with a strong emphasis on swimming.

Working closely with the Board of Directors, Wayne identifies and facilitates the achievement of company strategic objectives.
