Occupying a prominent site on Belford Road overlooking the city’s picturesque Dean Village, the stunning building was designed by the renowned Glasgow architect J.J. Burnet. Drumsheugh Baths Club is the oldest private swimming club in Edinburgh and is located in the west end of the city. The majority of the shares in the company are held by the subscribing members. Drumsheugh is a friendly club and members socialise as well as swim. Many members have swum at Drumsheugh for most of their lives and membership spans three generations. One aim of the club is to promote interest in and enjoyment of swimming. Classes are available for all ages and stages from small children to adult improvers Other classes are organised to meet members’ needs and include water aerobics, yoga, pilates and fitness training.
